Our tutors are qualified teachers or graduates with teaching experience.

Professionals with teaching experience may also be appointed if they have the necessary personal qualities City Home Tutors looks for in the vetting process.

Our tutors are screened in the following ways before being appointed:

•     Face-to-face interview

•     ID checks

•     Qualification checks

•     CRB enhanced disclosure check

•     Two professional references 

All of our tutors attend a face-to-face interview and if successful at this stage we ask for copies of ID, proof of qualifications, a Criminal Records Bureau enhanced disclosure certificate and two recent professional references.  It is only once these have been received and verified that the tutor may be put forward for work. 

In addition, tutor performance is continually monitored using parental and student feedback forms. Only tutors receiving positive feedback are retained.
